After a few months of intense heats, it’s almost time for the Wacken Metal Battle Finals. Who will be crowned as the best that South Africa has to offer? Head through to Rumours Rock City on the 27th of April to find out!

More than a simple battle

The Wacken Metal Battle is more than a simple showcase or your run of the mill battle of the bands. Whoever wins at the finals will go on to represent South Africa as a whole at the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle in Germany.

There is no battle of the bands in country that has a more prestigious grand prize. Because of the calibre of the grand prize, most of the top metal bands in South Africa throw their hat into the ring.

As Sashquita Northey, the local representative for the Wacken Metal Battle said,

“For the South African finalist, the Wacken Metal Battle is an amazing opportunity. Nowhere else will you ever get such a great space in which to network with bands, media and industry professionals from all over the world. Win or not, you can’t possibly lose.”

After a few months of insenive heats, the best of the best have been selected to battle it out in the finals.
