We are looking for a hardworking, focused and motivated Goods Receiving Clerk to join our Logistics Team based at our Head Office, in Ottery

You will be required to deliver excellent, accurate and timeous results, paired with a passion for accuracy and teamwork.

Duties

As GRV Clerk you will be responsible for accurate order entry checking, entering, capturing, follow-up, status, and other daily communication with your team, your superiors incl coordination with other divisions, such sales, administration, deliveries and the workshop.

It is not essential to be proficient in all aspects of musical instruments and sound equipment as on the job training will be provided, if required, however a good working knowledge of a broad range of aforementioned would be highly beneficial.

Core Outputs

Duties would include inter alia:

You will be required to perform and deliver productive, efficient and effective warehouse and logistics related duties, paired with a passion for problem solving and accuracy.

Duties

As a warehouse team member you will be responsible for (but not limited to) housekeeping, stock control/accuracy and a wide range of logistical tasks in order to ensure timeous, reliable and operational workflow.

“We Power Music” from the classroom to the stage.  As a Sales Executive, you will be in direct contact with customers and as such, will be required to deliver excellent customer service, with a passion for all AudioStudio and Music Technology related products.

It is essential that the candidate be proficient in sales with a good working knowledge of a broad range of Audio, Studio and Musical equipment, with specific strength/focus on software and related products. 

If your knowledge and experience with Hi-tech and Studio are part of your “pick up line”, then we want to hear from you.

Applicants must be:

  • Motivated
  • Bilingual
  • Presentable
  • Welcoming and approachable and an ability to connect with customers on all levels.
  • Able to work under pressure and collaborate well in a team.
  • Having a proven track record with experience in a retail and sales environment is crucial.

Knowledge and Skillset

It is essential that you are knowledgeable in music, the South African music industry, having a good and broad working knowledge of musical instruments ranging from stage to studio applications as well beginner to advanced/Pro – with an expert level knowledge in all things hi-tech and audio related.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Previous experience in a retail or a sales environment is preferential.
  • A relevant Tertiary Qualification would be advantageous, but not required.

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
  • Ability to network, build and maintain relationships

  • Ability to Identify Leads and Business opportunities

Pease note that this role will require you to work retail hours, including Saturdays and the occasional public holiday.
