The launch of the event took place on Tuesday the 5th of May. The launch exceeded all expectations. Technically it was a huge challenge due to that the streaming of video and live radio. Fortunately it went off without a hitch, and the possible reach of the event is overwhelming. Indie Artists own the internet!
There are no losers in the process , but ultimately there is incentive to do really well for the artist by offering a record deal to the artist or band.
The calibre of songs and artists were a hit with the audience, and the organisers will be posting the Youtube and MP3 files shortly!
2. The event would run over 3 months, twice a year.
3. The event will take place once a week 4. Indie Artists will be asked to submit three songs for consideration to the “Collaborators”
5. The three collaborators will work out the criteria for points scoring purposes.
6. This is not a competition but rather a process to give exposure , experience and guidance to artists.
7. There will be a resident band of musicians who will open and close the show, but more importantly will provide a service to the artists whereby the selected artist would work with the resident band to properly flesh out and arrange the songs with the additional backing of the resident band during the live performance.
9. A full rig with sound lights and video live mixing with giant screens will be provided. This gives the artists a chance to perform in a professional environment where maximum audience reaction can be expected. The process alone is of huge benefit to the Indie Artists.
10. There will be three artists /band all performing 3 songs per night. The best song from each artist on the night will be uploaded to YouTube ( or other suitable channel ) from the live mix. The mix will also be streamed. The song will also be uploaded to iTunes ( or other platform ) There will also be a simultaneous Radio Broadcast )Zone Radio)
