The Essentials Done Right – Fender Hammertone Effects Pedals

After four years, Fender have made their second foray into the world of effects pedals. The Hammertone series is a complete departure from what they’ve done in the past, and we think it’s absolutely genius.

The key message behind the Hammertone series is Simplicity, Quality, and Essentials. The Hammertone range is designed for everyone from the bedroom guitar hero, to the stadium guitar hero – nothing to overwhelm a beginner, and nothing to underwhelm a pro.

While there are literally thousands of effects pedals in the market, this ethos is quite refreshing, and what’s even more refreshing is that the product backs it up. Fortunately that’s what you get when electronics genius Stan Cotey is your head of product development.

The range is made up of 9 pedals, 4 analog drive-esque units, and 5 digital modulation/time-based units.

The final part of the puzzle is the price point. Fender have carried the inevitable financial result of a simplified pedal forward to the end user, which makes these pedals genuinely affordable… which we love to see!

Let’s take a closer look at the full range.
