Every Tuesday great musicians from all over the Cape – and also from overseas – come to The Crypt for our weekly jam sessions always with a special guest and The Crypt’s jam band, Alvin Dyers- guitar, Roy Davids-drums and Tino Europa-bass.
Patrons: R 50 cover charge and Musicians free entry

Wednesday 14 September (8pm to 11pm)
SAMMY WEBBER QUARTET.
Without doubt Sammy Webber is one of the Cape’s best bass players and a public favourite, with Jason Ward-drums, Didier Richards-saxophone and piano- TBC

SIBUSISO MKHIZE QUINTET
Sibusiso plays the trumpet and flugelhorn and is born in KZN eMlazi. He was fortunate to work with great musicians like Dr Brain Thusi, McCoy Mrubata, Nduduzo Makhathini and Herbie Tsoaeli. He is proud to introduce his own album Sound, Love, Peace and Honesty. Keenan Ahrends-guitar, Claude Cozens-drums, Nick Williams- piano and Graham Strickland- double bass

Congolese band Afro Fiesta will invoke that party spirit in you. Christian Bakalanga – guitar/vocal, Felix Garemua – electric and acoustic guitar and vocal, Djo Ikotela on bass and vocal, Jason Tamba on acoustic guitar and vocal, Glody Dinga on the drums and congas, Daddy Bassing on bass and congas, Mofaya Mermans Mosengo on drums, bass, congas, acoustic and electric guitar and lead vocals.

OCEAN’S RIFF
We were happily surprised when we found this energetic ensemble on a country market, playing out on the street on a sunny day. Expect beautiful trombone playing and great songs. Joshua Daniels- bass, Leo Letsape- vocal/perussion, Charles Jones- Trombone and Roberto Francke-Guitar
