Ginormous tone resonates from deep within the G5191’s bound, single-cutaway hollowbody. Parallel tone bar bracing and a sound post ensure this guitar will survive the wildest of stage antics. Bound f holes and gold-plated hardware lend an elegant – if incongruous – touch to this purveyor of sonic frenzy.

Gretsch has detailed this guitar according to Mr. Armstrong’s personal guitar preferences. You get a one-piece fast-action maple neck, fitted with a white graphite nut and a bound rosewood fingerboard with acrylic block inlays. Belligerent tone belches from twin “Black Top” Filter’Tron pickups bedecked with gold-plated bezels. A three-position pickup switch, bound headstock with pearloid Gretsch inlay and Armstrong’s signature on the truss rod cover, Grover tuners, Adjusto-Matic bridge, harp tailpiece, and ominous flat black finish complete this menacing package.
