The Musicman Axis has a bookmatched, figured maple top on a lighweight basswood body with cream binding. A select maple neck is attached with 5 bolts for perfect alignment and no shifting. The neck has a rubbed gunstock oil and wax finish that offers smooth and super fast movement up and down the neck. A sculpted heel allows smooth access to higher frets. The rosewood fingerboard is dressed with 22 high-profile, medium width frets. The Axis is loaded with 2 extremely versatile custom wound DiMarzio humbuckers that are controlled by a single volume knob and 3-way selector switch. Hardware includes a Music Man Floyd Rose-licensed locking tremolo with fine tuners (lowers pitch only), and Schaller M6LA tuners with pearloid buttons. Includes a Music Man hardshell case.
