Die Boer, a dinner/theatre venue located in Durbanville has been an integral part of South African music and culture for over 16 years; in this time hosting almost every single prominent artist/band in the country.
As with most venues, COVID-19 has hit Die Boer incredibly hard, and has now forced them to close their doors… at least temporarily, and go into “hibernation”.
This is, of course, no easy task to stay afloat while closed for an extended period of time. For this reason they have launched the “Red Die Boer” (Save Die Boer) Online Concert Series in order to raise the necessary funds to continue.
They have teamed up with WOES. The popular WOES program is an online-platform created to raise funds for schools, institutions and artists. In 2020 WOES raised more than R4,5 Milllion by way of online auctions, donations and prizes.
Now WOES, die BOER and some of South Africa’s top artists are going to take hands to produce two of the biggest online shows ever in SA on 29 Jan & 5 Feb to raise funds to allow this very important platform for our artists to open its doors again as soon as conditions allow.
Viewers will be able to interactively participate in these two more than 3 hour program/auction and buy tickets to win fantastic prizes.
Two energetic presenters, Jaco van Dyk & Hamilton Wessels, are going to take viewers on a more than 3 hours emotional journey as they auction of some amazing items and some of our top artists perform. Artists already confirmed are: Elvis Blue, Mathys Roets, Elandre, Leah, Anna Davel, Gian Groen, Dewald Wasserfall, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Dan Patlansky, Adam Tas, Wicus vd Merwe and more.
