Novation Celebrates 30 Years of Innovation

Novation is celebrating 30 years of music. Since 1992, Novation has pioneered in developing music production technology, designed iconic synths that made decade-defining sounds, and played a part in the process of countless artists at all stages of their music-making journey.

Novation developed the very first MIDI controller ever with the MM10 in 1992. It was the first of its kind, allowing musicians to control external hardware like never before, and it revolutionised the way we make music.

In 1993, Bass Station pushed Novation further into the spotlight, developed by none other than, Chris Huggett, whose expertise with analogue and digital synth design gave the world the EDP Wasp, Gnat and the OSCar and influenced many Novation synths including Supernova, Bass Station II, Summit and Peak, Launched in 2009, the Launchpad range changed the game for grid-based music-making. With an innovative display and performance capabilities, producers and artists brought new life to electronic music over the years. With many more influential instruments under the Novation name, it’s time to celebrate the music and people that made Novation what it is today.
