On Saturday the 31st of January, Metal4Africa held it’s 17th bi-annual gig at Klein Libertas Theatre in Stellenbosch. Metal4Africa has been a staple in the Cape Town Metal scene for 9 years now. The line up for this year included, The Fallen Prophets, Atlantic South, Zero Stroke, All Guns Full Ammo, Ill System, Stellitius, Agro, Zombies Ate My Girlfriend
and The Warinsane.”We at www.metal4africa.com greatly appreciate the continued support from Paul Bothner Music after all these years. Having just completed our seventeenth bi-annual event with SummerFest’15, it is clear that heavy metal musicians in Cape Town and surrounds still enjoy a prominent place in the realm of music and entertainment.

For our backline, a pair of Laney IRT120H valve guitar amplifiers and their IRT412A cabinets were more than ample for the task at hand, and all drummers felt very much at home behind the Mapex Meridian drum kit. We received great reports from bassists too, who used the Laney RB9 bass amplifier head along with a RB115 and RB410 combined Laney cabinet. It comes as no surprise to our stage crew why Paul Bothner Music carry these goods as priority brands in their stores. The Proel PA system on our outdoor stage where DJ’s entertained was also a great experience. From our entire event team, bands, plus the five-hundred-odd punters who
attended, a BIG thank you!”

“It was a great night, packed with some of the coolest bands floating around on the scene these days, it was a real pleasure getting to meet and perform on the same stage as some of these local legends. The whole event ran smoothly and delivered on the calibre of organisation you’d expect from the M4A crew, and the appreciation for their work shows as the place was packed with faces old and new who had come out to enjoy and support this endeavour. It’s very easy to see why the M4A Fests have become such a staple of the local scene, and one that keeps gaining in strength from year to year.” – Chad Browne, guitarist for Zero Stroke.
