- Unpacking the music played and explaining and demonstrating the interaction between the two players and underlying the importnace of the notes you play and also don’t play.

About the Artists
Philip Vermeulen works for the University as Admin and lead the US Gig band(smal ensemble) and shared the stage with PJ Powers, Gloria Bosman, Corlea Botha and Jannie Moolman; Dr. Mark Rontsch is a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Centre for the Advancement of Non-Racialism and Democracy and the Music Department at Nelson Mandela University, has appeared as a soloist with both University of Stellenbosch Symphonic Orchestra and the Stellenbosch University Jazz Band, and currently performs with Black Moscow and the Hot Club of Cape Town
