With everyone from Charlie Watts to Matt Sorum, having spent their careers behind a Gretsch, the 130 year old company has developed a reputation as one of the greatest, and the only purveyor of “That Gretsch Sound”.
Recently, Gretsch unveiled their range of Energy drumkits. Bringing their iconic sound and style to a more affordable price point is priority number one. Each kit is paired with a full set of hardware as well as a Meinl HCS cymbal pack, making these a one stop shop to climb aboard the drumming train with Gretsch.
The Features That Matter
The Gretsch Energy shells are 7-ply poplar with 30-degree bearing edges and are equipped with 1.6mm triple flanged hoops. This is the primary source of that revered Gretsch sound.
Each Energy kit includes a bass drum pedal, high-hat stand, snare stand with both a boom and straight cymbal stand.
A full set of Meinl HCS cymbals are included, featuring a 20″ Ride, 14″ hihats, and a 16″ crash rounds out the full package that is the Gretsch Energy Drumkit.
