Fender Boxer Series – Bringing Back The 80’s

The Fender Boxer Series was initially introduced in the 80’s to capture the looks and sounds of the hair metal craze of the time. Characterized by bold, bright colours, and seriosuly high output pick-ups, the original Boxer series was the Hot-Rodded Fender of choice.

Enter 2021, and the re-introduction of the iconic range. Made in the prominent Japan, Fender have unleashed Boxer versions of the Stratocaster, Telecaster, and Precision bass, all of which feature the well-loved characteristics of the original range – hot colours, and hot pick-ups… and, of course, a few modern tweaks.

The Boxer Stratocaster

A pair of high-output humbuckers, a high-performance thin “C” profile neck, a 12″ radius fingerboard, and 2-point floating tremolo is what makes the Boxer Series Stratocaster tick.

A 2-Way toggle splits the coils on the humbuckers providing more traditional single coil tones, and the TBX Treble Bass Expander control delivers incredibly versatile tone shaping.

A hallmark of the original Boxer series, the all-black hardware and distinctive rubberized “F” logo knobs are recreated here.

The Boxer Telecaster

In the telecaster you’ll find the same features as the Strat; the high-output humbuckers, the high performance neck, the works… With one notable exception; they’ve swapped out the tremolo for a classic 6-saddle hardtail bridge.

The Boxer Precision Bass

The Boxer Series Precision Bass defines a high-performance P-Bass.

The bass features the classic P/J pickup configuration, with high output Precision and Jazz Bass pickups in the neck and bridge positions respectively. Add to this the classic Boxer series TBX Treble Bass Expander, and high-performance Slim “C” neck profile, and you have a truly versatile and striking bass guitar.
