South African rock group, The Jesse Jordan Band was established in 2001. Having gained much popularity over the years, their story is hardly one of overnight success, but one of consistency in the face of adversity, the chasing of a dream against all odds and the ultimate realization of that very dream.
CURRENT
With the transition of new members in late 2008, the Jesse Jordan Band has been developing a new sound and a new direction. In 2009 the guys started the writing process for the next album and this soon became the new signature sound, the fusion and synergy of 4 musicians from completely different musical and social backgrounds and the result is evident on the soon to be released album “Ready For The World”
READY FOR THE WORLD album
Recorded during the Winter of 2011, the Jesse Jordan Band worked with multi-award winning producer and recording engineer Jurgen Von Wechmar, Owner of Sunset Recording Studios, and produced what they feel is their best work to date.
Given the opportunity by Robin & Christine Thompson, prominent music business professionals from Namibia, they seized the chance to produce an album that captured the perfect blend of Jesse’s amazing vocal range and acoustic guitar skills, Hein’s powerful guitar tone and catchy riffs, Logan’s solid bass lines that holds everything together and JP’s rhythmic, versatile and dynamic drumming.
With an awesome chemistry among these members, whether in the rehearsal room, recording studio or live stage, the Jesse Jordan Band brings a lot more to the party than meets the eye.
The Album launched on Tuesday 31st January 2012 at Die Boer Theatre in Cape Town, 25 February 2012 at Cymot Conference Centre in Windhoek, Namibia in association with Radiowave FM, Namibia’s No.1 Hit Music Station and 6 March at Steak & Ale in Pretoria.

Ready For The World was written by Jesse Jordan and Co-written and arranged by Jesse Jordan Band and Produced by Jurgen Von Wechmar.
During the working of this song, it became the revelation to the band that this sums up the journey that they all find themselves on. Relating figuratively to life, as well as their careers, it speaks of the growth process they’ve gone through during the past years and now they are ready for the next season in life and in their careers.
Since its’ public release on October 2011, Ready For The World fast became a popular radio hit, gaining high rotation on stations across the Western Cape and soon South Africa. It is currently playlisted on Kfm, Goodhope FM, UCT Radio, Mfm, Radio Helderberg, Highveld Stereo (Jhb), Mpower FM (Mpumalanga), RSG (National), Radiowave FM (Windhoek, Nam), and 99fm (Windhoek, Nam) and also having briefly entered the Kfm?Highveld Stereo Kia Take 40 SA Chart show and the Mpower FM Hot Top 10 hits of the week chart for a few weeks.
MEMBERS
Jesse Jordan plays the acoustic guitar and fronts the Jesse Jordan Band. He started singing at a very early age but learnt to play guitar in high school.
Jesse’s been playing gigs professionally since age 16 and has grown as both a songwriter and a performer.
Hein Schultz also a graphic artist & animator, started playing rhythm guitar in JJB for a while then developed and progressed to a lead guitarist and now is a very important element in the Jesse Jordan Band sound.
Logan Scott has worked as a freelance bass player since he was in high school and has toured and played every major festival in South Africa. Known for his rock solid groove, Logan brings the perfect foundation to the Jesse Jordan Band as the link between the harmonic, melodic and rhythmic element.
JP Crouch, husband & father of 3, has worked in almost every musical genre ranging from Gospel, jazz, RnB, pop and theatre to major stage productions. Over the last 3 years JP has firmly established himself as the BEAT of the Jesse Jordan Band.
