Craft 255 discrete polar patterns and also have real-time, wireless control over your analogue high pass filters and pad. The handy last 60 seconds of audio level monitor/logger enables you to see if there is any clipping so you can adjust on the fly. The OC818 ships with the popular wide cardiod setting, but you can edit with the app, and store your preferred setting in the OC818 for later use without the PolarPilot app.
