The Paul’s Guitar is essentially the signature model of PRS’ founder – Paul Reed Smith. In his own words: “The SE Paul’s Guitar is a great example of design, engineering and teamwork. It’s as close to home as we could get inside of the SE Series, and I am very proud of it.”

Description

Akin to a PRS Custom 22 model with its 22-fret fingerboard and highly-recognisable PRS Custom body shape, the Paul’s Guitar also comes equipped with a unique control layout that makes it extremely versatile.

Body & Neck

The PRS SE Paul’s Guitar boasts a Mahogany body, delivering a warm sound with plenty of harmonic richness in the mid-range. Adorned with a stunning Carved Figured Maple top, this instrument’s beauty is guaranteed to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end.

Joining the body is a Mahogany neck shaped to PRS’ vintage-esque “Wide Fat” profile. While the material adds plenty of warmth to the guitar’s overall sound, the unique neck carve provides a comfortable and supportive feel. The neck is also topped with a silky smooth Rosewood fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers.

High-Quality Hardware

Although this particular model may be a part of the affordable SE line, PRS spared no expense when it came to the instrument’s hardware and electronics. The PRS Stoptail bridge keeps things solid, with its brass inserts enhancing sustain and resonance. At the other end of the guitar you’ll find a set of PRS-designed tuners that’ll keep your tuning super-stable too.

Flexible Electronics

The PRS Paul’s Guitar features TCI “S” Treble and Bass pickups with two mini-toggle switches that allow you to put either or both pickups in humbucking or true single-coil modes. The clarity and unique tones of these vintage-inspired pickups are both big and nuanced, so that you can easily find your tonal sweet spot. This is the first model to offer this style of electronics outside of the Private Stock and Core lines.
