Description

Body and Neck
The Kingman has Fender’s Newporter Bass body shape. This body shape is really comfortable to play as it’s slightly smaller than your average mid-sized guitar; it’s thinner too so it won’t feel cumbersome to play. There’s also a cutaway which lets you reach the higher frets with ease. The Kingman has a short, 30” scale length which means the distance between the bridge and nut is shorter than on a regular bass guitar. This means that the strings feel looser and more comfortable to play, and you also get less high-end for a bass-ier sound.

The body itself is made from laminated mahogany with a solid Sitka spruce top for a resonant and balanced tone. The neck is made from mahogany and features a satin finish allowing your hand to run smoothly up and down the neck. The Kingman bass has a Jazz Bass neck shape, which is a slim design that’s comfortable in the hand and suits a range of playing styles. The neck is topped off with a walnut fingerboard that provides a smooth and natural-feeling playing surface.

Built-In Electronics
To ensure you’re heard, the Kingman Bass comes with built-in Fishman pickup and preamp system. The preamp features an onboard tuner, as well as EQ and phase controls so you can get your amplified sound just right. With the built-in electronics in the Kingman you can take it straight out the box and jump right into performing live or recording.
