Casio CTK-3200

The Casio CTK-3200 is proof that quality instruments can be affordable. With 150 built-in rhythms and digital effects, you will not soon run out of exciting ways to play music.

In addition, the Casio CTK-3200 has some great features. Features like Casio’s famous Step-Up lesson system and audio inputs for an MP3 player. The USB port allows for MIDI connectivity and the pitch wheel allows for additional expression.

All this makes the CTK-3200 one of the most realistic and expressive keyboards for its price range.

USB

The USB on the keyboard is class compliant. To clarify, this means that you don’t need any drivers to use the keyboard with either a PC or a Mac. Because of this, the keyboard is truly “plug-and-play”.

This allows the keyboard to be used as a MIDI controller, as well as a standard keyboard.

48 Note Polyphony

Polyphony refers to how many notes can be played simultaneously. To explain, when you play a chord you would normally play 3 notes. If play with all your fingers for complex chords, you can play up to 10 notes. If you keep your foot on the sustain pedal, and play another chord, or even a run, you are playing more notes on top of the notes you’ve already played.

What happens when you reach your max polyphony? The first note you played is dropped. That is to say, it stops ringing out. Because of this, polyphony is an important element to consider when buying a keyboard.

The Casio CTK-3200 comes with a 48 note polyphony. This means that you will be able to play 48 notes simultaneously before dropping any.

Preset Rhythms

Want that band experience but don’t know a drummer? Don’t worry, the CTK-3200 comes with 150 preset rhythms. Explore all the rhythms to expand your musicality and compositional skills.

Built-in Songs

In addition to all that, the Casio CTK-3200 has 90 songs on board. These songs can be used with the Step-Up lesson system or can be played along with for the fun of it.

Overall, this is a great keyboard at a fantastic price!
