Introducing the 40th Anniversary Washi Kit. Only 40 of these stunning kits were ever made, and a complete Washi Drum Set will also be displayed in the Japanese museum, bringing together old world history and new world technology.

The 100% Hokkaido birch shells are wrapped with ancient Japanese tapestry and meticulously hand-laid. Each drum depicts a different battle scene from the Genpei war.

The snare is 14”, the toms are 10”, 12”, 14”, and 16” with a 22” kick featuring 6-ply birch, 60 degree bearing edges and 19-ply vintage wood hoops.

This combination of ancient Japanese art, legendary hand craftsmanship, and state-of-the-art drum manufacturing proudly honors Yamaha’s long history of constructing the world’s finest drums.

Just like a piece of art, this particular drum set will only appreciate with time. There are only 40 in the entire world!!
