More About Mornay Hoffmeester

Mornay Hoffmeester is a professional session drummer and skilled teacher who often shares his knowledge and experience of the subtleties of Gospel drumming.

Passionate to uplift & empower musical education in his community, Mornay founded CapeDrummersLab (a leading Drum School in South Africa) in 2011, which now boasts four fully set up Alesis electronic kit classrooms and educates over 100 students.

When not teaching at CDL or Cape Music Institue, Hoffmeester tours with many international artists visiting South Africa, and surrounds, as well as performing with local African artists on the many festivals the continent offers (e.g Calibar MTV BASE Jazz Festival, Cape Town International Jazz Fest, Stanbic Jazz Fest to name a few).
