Taxi Violence at the Mercury Live

The recipe for a great night out is simple. Take you and a few mates, mix in some great music, and let it all simmer together at the Mercury Live.

On the 25th of November 2016, Taxi Violence will be playing at the Mercury Live in Cape Town. They will be joined by Death Panthers and the ever popular, Southern Wild. Cover at the door is only R60.

Death Panthers

The band has been described as having a sound dripping with authenticity and hostility.

Death Panthers use a unique band composition; they are a two piece garage-surf-punk band. The band has Oliver Thomas on drums and vocals, and James Nevin on Guitar.

Southern Wild

Southern Wild are a “gloriously smooth blend of modern rock ’n roll.”

The band is no stranger to the South African rock music scene. With influences like Queens of the Stone Age and Cage the Elephant, Southern Wild draw from an eclectic range of music.

Dave van Vuuren, the band’s singer, won the seventh season of SA Idols in 2011. Dave is joined by Julian van Rensburg on lead guitar, Alex Smillie on bass and Dylan Hunt on drums.

“Music that promises a journey consisting of many layers and paths to its listener, much like a wafer biscuit car on an eight-lane highway.” – Southern Wild
