About the Table Mountain Blues Summit
The TMBS concept became a reality when its organiser, Mike Combrinck, saw a Jazz & Blues Session at the Steak and Ale in Pretoria in 2005.
“Good Blues shows were relatively hard to find in South Africa at the time.”
After this, the first Table Mountain Blues Summit was held in 2006 at the Tafelberg Tavern in town, where it showcased 6 Blues acts for an audience of around 450 people.
Around 2007, Richard Pryor became a partner and the team grew the small festival into the giant it is today. After a few years, Richard stepped down as a partner due to other responsibilities.
Fast forward a few years, the summit started including Rock and Folk music to the Blues mix.

Situated in the heart of the Durbanville Wine Valley, the Hillcrest Wine Estate is the perfect venue for festivals, weddings, functions, and concerts.
With its sweeping views across Table Mountain to the Atlantic and green lawns which rolls down to the quarry dam, The Quarry provides an amazing backdrop for crowds to chill and listen to the music.
