“Wide Fat” Neck

Joining the Starla’s body is a Mahogany neck carved to PRS’ acclaimed “Wide Fat” profile. Although it may feel quite substantial to modern players, this neck shape is designed to offer optimal support for tricky chords and intricate arpeggios, while the silky-smooth Rosewood fingerboard offers a luxurious feel under the fingers.

Versatile DS-02 Pickups

This outstanding instrument gets most of its voice from its set of DS-02 pickups, which add a bright high-end bark to counteract the warmth of the Starla’s Mahogany tonewoods; resulting in a balanced sound overall. Crystal-clear with clean amp settings, these pickups also cope well with thick doses of overdrive and distortion, making them apt for most genres. With the ability to coil-split the humbuckers via the push/pull tone control, you can also attain glassy single-coil sounds.
