Inspired by Pearl’s Reference series, this Export EXX kit’s Superior Shell Technology (SST) uses a combination of strategically arranged plies of premium wood and proprietary construction techniques to offer you a durable shell that maximizes frequency response. The Opti-Loc mounting system keeps your toms wobble-free while reinforcing the resonance of the kit. And the included 830 series hardware adds big bang for the buck to the Pearl Export EXX drum kit. All you need to do is add the cymbals!
Superior Shell Technology
The Pearl Export EXX 5-piece drum kit’s poplar and Asian mahogany shells are constructed using Pearl’s proprietary Superior Shell Technology. This construction method incorporates Pearl’s trademarked AcoustiGlue that is boiled into the shells and pressed at over 1,000 lbs. of hydraulic pressure, making the shell act and resonate as a single ply. SST uses precision-cut scarf joints to join the seams of the shells, offering over 800% more contact area than standard butt joints. This technology makes these drums so durable that they come with a limited lifetime warranty from Pearl. To make these shells sound even better, Pearl outfitted them with new lugs that minimize shell interaction for maximum resonance and sustain.
Opti-Loc mounting system reduces wobble and improves resonance
Pearl Export EXX series Opti-Loc mounting system features a triangular design with two tension rod attachment points that hold your toms firmly in place with no wobble. Pearl places rubber isolators at all the connection points to allow the shells to vibrate freely for more sustain and resonance. The Opti-Loc mounting system keeps your toms right where you need them and sounding their best, whether you’re practicing at home or recording drum tracks at a studio.
Included Pearl 830 series hardware and P-930 pedal
The 830 series hardware is a sophisticated addition to the Pearl Export EXX 5-piece drum kit. Utilizing infinitely adjustable Uni-Lock tilters, you have the ability to position your cymbals and snare drum precisely. The 1″ base tubes and 0.87″ center tubes with double-braced tripods are exceptionally sturdy. The included P-930 bass drum pedal is equipped with an aluminum die-cast wheel for smooth feel and consistent power – perfect for any style of music!
