For many years, the Roland JC-120 was the benchmark for clean tone. If you look at most effects modelling units, you will find the JC clean tone. Two of the biggest issue with the JC-120 however, are its size and volume. To combat this, Roland has released the JC-22.

The JC-22 offers you legendary tone for your home! There is a new trend amongst guitarists to be considerate to their neighbours. To this end, the small practice amp has become a popular choice for at home use.

But, just because you’re playing in your lounge, that doesn’t mean you need sub-par tone. That is where is the JC-22 really shines. While it is a small 30-watt amp, it still sounds amazing. The JC-22 is just a scaled down version of other JC amps.

The Roland JC-22 features a stereo input on the front of the amp. This will allow you to plug in your modellers, multi-effects units and your stereo stompboxes.

While the 6.5-inch speakers might not pack quite the punch you may be used to with bigger units, they still hold their own. One of the elements that allow the amp to sound huge is the Dimensional Chorus which Roland built into the amp. The signature Dimensional Chorus allows for huge and expansive stereo sound. Small speakers, huge tone!

On the Roland JC-22 rear panel, you find a wide range of connectivity options. You’ll find an effects loop for patching in mono or stereo effects. In addition, you’ll have the choice of series or parallel operation.

Line-Out jacks give you an easy way to connect the Roland JC-22 to a mixing desk. This means that you’ll be able to use your amp for live use or even for studio recordings. That means that you’ll get that same tone live as you get in your lounge or band room.

In conclusion, the Roland JC-22 is a must have practice amp. So get rid of that small 10-watt pop-up toaster amp, and get some real tone!
