Arguably one of SA’s best female guitarists, Edi Niederlander is a true legend. During her career as a musician she has performed, collaborated, recorded and composed with some of the best local and international artists of our industry; across multiple genres.
Her five self-penned albums has received wide critical acclaim, while her song “Ancient Dust of Africa” (which she wrote for the movie Jock of the Bushveld), won a “Vita Music Composer Award”.
That being said, it is as a music teacher where Edi really shines.
Says Edi: “As an educator, the development of the student is at the core of my purpose. Every student should have the opportunity to become well-rounded artistically; inline with the students goals and abilities. Through engaging lessons, one is able to instill the knowledge, desire, and appreciation for the magic of sound that pervades our lives and fills the universe. Music must be fun! I teach because I love to share knowledge and the passion of music. “
