New School of Rock Campus Opening Soon

Currently located in the Standard Bank Galleria in Claremont Cape Town, School of Rock Claremont is part of a global brand of over 270 schools located on 5 continents teaching over 40000 students a week.

To facilitate their continued meteoric growth, our friends at School of Rock Claremont will this September (after 5 years in their current location), be moving into their new, secure, freestanding location at 24 Protea Road, Claremont.

The new much larger campus is located in a beautiful iconic Victorian building and is perfectly positioned for convenient accessibility.  The campus offers free secure parking, with drop-and-go access right outside the front door.

School of Rock offers music lessons and programmes for all ages, with a choice of instrument education for guitar, drums, voice, violin, saxophone, keys and bass.  Programmes are also offered in a wide array of subjects, such as songwriting & performance.

The lesson structure and content assists students to quickly learn their favourite songs, at their own pace; with the goal of performing live in front of an adoring crowd.

The lesson structure and music programmes have a proven track record that goes back decades.

Students get behind their instrument immediately and learn the basics by playing the songs they love. Lessons are taught through a performance-based programme that includes private lessons

and group rehearsals which are guaranteed to get students playing proficiently.

Online lessons and distant learning are also available.

Their lessons and music programmes are designed to inspire by getting students on stage and performing, with the goal of building strong musical proficiency. All of their programmes focus on bringing students to the famous School of Rock Performance Programme. This is where students develop incredible musical skills through a custom development plan, outlined by their instructors with key concepts reinforced during private lessons and group rehearsals, all with the goal of performing live at a music venue.

Thanks to the “School of Rock Method AppTM”, students can continue lessons, playing

and performing during lockdown. “Playing with other musicians is an integral part of the School of Rock educational MethodTM and with lessons being held online and gathering in groups limited, this process will reinforce the skills needed to perform with other musicians,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “This is just another way we are fostering connection and community during a time when we are asked to stay apart.”

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, they launched “School of Rock Remote” where some 40,000 students can use video conferencing during their regularly scheduled lesson times to gain access to their skilled music instructor. School of Rock instructors around the world are teaching between 7,000-8,000 virtual lessons per week.

In addition, students can use the proprietary School of Rock Method app and Method Books to supplement their learning. The company also rolled out Artist Sessions, providing daily online tutorials and Q&A’s with well-known musicians. Since these programmes are available online, School of Rock is now available to everyone who wants to use this time at home to become a musician.
