Musically Superstitious?

Roberto Gualdi Zildjian

Do you have a personal superstition, like you need to use a lucky guitar pick? Do you snap your fingers a few times before playing, scratch your head twice, make sure that you tickle your keyboard’s white notes… ? The world has a long history of generic superstitions and just as many cures to combat them. But how about before a gig? Education in a modern world teaches people that superstition has little to do with science.

Is it psychosomatic, plain fear, or just fun? Did something notably good happen a few times when you happened to do a particular thing and you thought that there might be some sort of cosmic connection? Or, did you think that it came from some source of less than mystical scientific connectivity but you’d rather not take the chance?

Zildjian checked in with their worldwide endorser team to see what their pre-show rituals are, in order to scare off evil spirits before hitting the stage.
