Mind your Headroom with the Fender Hot Rod series

If you step on to stage in almost any music venue in the world, you’re likely to see a Fender Hot Rod standing in the backline. Absolutely synonymous with versatility, there are few tasks the Hot Rod range is not up to.

The primary goal was to produce a simple, two-channel, all-tube amp that had serious headroom for live playing, and served as a great tonal starting point, with a tone that blended seamlessly with whatever pedals one might throw at it.

They achieved this and so much more as the Hot Rod range became an absolute staple the world over, and became solidified as true classics.

Today, the Fender Hot Rod series is on its fourth iteration, which, while keeping the original, iconic characteristics of the series, has been updated to improve the experience of guitarists.

The first of these updates is the use of pine wood, considerably reducing the overall weight of the amp. The overdrive channel has also been updated to include a bit more warmth and mid-range, and the speakers included in this iteration are Celestion A-Type.
