More about the Little Known Blues Festival

The Little Known Blues Fest, or LKBF, was started 10 years ago by Craig Cannon, Mike Crawford & Dale Collins at the Bloemendal Wine Farm. Now, nine years later the event is going stronger than ever.

The event is open to all ages, so bring your whole family along. Just remember to leave the fur babies at home, and to keep an eye on your kids. And since the Little Known Blues Fest has a fully stocked bar and some food on sale, you won’t even need to bring your own. Just pitch up, listen to some great music and take a load off.

There will be a few tables, chairs, and umbrellas provided, but there is a fairly limited supply. So it would be best if you brought your own camping chairs along. And don’t forget that summer in Cape Town can be harsh, so don’t forget your sunblock or your caps.

Line-Up

Of course, no music festival would be complete with the bands. This year the line-up will be sure to impress even the most particular of music lovers. On stage we have:

2 pm Urban Blues
3 pm Johnny Ray Band
4 pm BluesBoy
5 pm The Van der Mentalss
6 pm Lyzyrd Kyngs
7 pm Wayne Pauly Band
8 pm Basson Laubscher & The Violent Free Peace
9 pm The Beautiful Losers

If you haven’t already, you should consider signing up for our newsletter. If you do we’ll send you a mail, once a week, with all sorts of information like the Little Known Blues Fest.
