Eddiebass Muzah joins the Cort Family

Cort SA announced this week the addition of Edgar “Eddiebass” Muzah to the family of South African Cort artists.

EddiebassEdgar, a young bass player from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, currently plays full time with Take Note; one of South Africa’s fastest growing and youthful bands. Edgar has done a number of tours with Take Note around South Africa and also around the world as a session musician. He is also a founder member of Project Dimensions, a pop band that consists of individuals from some of the best bands in the Nelson Mandela Bay area.

Edgar has played and worked with some of South Africa’s and the world’s best musicians such as Oliver Mtukudzi(Zimbabwe), Asanda Bam, Berita, Pu2ma, Sibongile Khumalo, Nomfusi Gotyana, Take Note, Afrika Revenge (Zimbabwe), Xolani Faku, Andile B (Spirit Music), Silvester Funani (Joyous Celebration), Andile Sawule and the 1266 (ECAVC records), Chumani Ngojo (2015 Crown gospel award winner), Phumlani Mtiti (Ological Studies) and Black Tie to name a few. Edgar has also recorded with Take Note and Black Tie on their studio projects and has also recently did a DVD recording with gospel artist L.G Lukas and at the same time pursuing a project with Afrikaans maskandi singer Dozi.

Edgar has a number of national and international stages under his belt, some of them include the Standard Bank Joy Of Jazz, Grahamstown National Arts Festival, Buy’elekhaya music fest, Ebubeleni Arts Festival, Splash Festival, Harare International Festival of Arts HIFA (Zimbabwe), Bayimba Festival (Uganda), Nelson Mandela Bay Music Festival, and Biltong Festival to name a few.
