Cort CR-LTD 16 – SGM 6 String Electric Guitar

Cort CR-LTD 16

Combing time proven classic styling with great tone, the Cort CR-LTD 16 would comfortably fit into almost any guitar collection.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Cort CR-LTD 16 is the Surf Green colour. The body shape can be described as a cross between a Les Paul and a Telecaster. This shape, along with the soft pastel finish does a great job distinguishing the guitar from the crowd.

Tone

The Cort CR-LTD 16 would best suit the tonal stylings for Rockabilly, old school Rock, country and blues. Additionally, it would do well with funk or reggae.

Depending on what pickup you’re using, and how you’ve set your amp up, this guitar can growl or purr. It would not work well for heavier styles, but for anything that requires low gain or clean tones, this guitar will excel.

Construction

The Cort CR-LTD 16 has a bolt-on neck with a 24.75″ scale length. The body is made of ash and the neck is maple with a Rosewood fingerboard. All of this adds up to make the guitar comfortable to hold, and the tone woods make it sound amazing!

The neck has a standard 22-fret construction, with the cutaway being deep enough to comfortably reach the top frets. So you won’t need to do finger aerobics in order to play those high notes when soloing.

Electronics

While the wood is important, electronics are arguably as important (some people even claim that electronics are more important). And the Cort CR-LTD 16 does not disappoint in the electronics department.

With a set of Seymour Duncan Duncan Designed pickups, the guitar’s tone matches its styling. Sleek, clean and responsive are a few of the terms that can be used to describe the tone.

The configuration of the guitar is a standard two pickup, 3-way switch selector design.
