A Cape Town favorite, the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts have become synonymous  with a relaxing summer evening surrounded by stunning scenery in the show of the mountain, while the best of the best play shows to eager audiences.

And what better backdrop or atmosphere for a classical music concert, than the world-class flora of the gardens and the silhouette of the majestic Table Mountain at sunset? If this sounds like your idea of heaven then make sure you attend the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s opera concert at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens on Sunday, 28 February 2016.

The concert will feature the melodic harmonies from the dynamic duo comprising soprano Goitsemang Lehobye and tenor Lukhanyo Moyake, in an operatic sensation that will blow you away. Conducted by Brandon Phillips, the evening will showcase Cape Town’s musical prowess with arias, duets and popular excerpts from operas by Rossini, Verdi, Wagner and Bizet.

As usual, the concert will go ahead despite the weather, so pack something warm in case the wind picks up or the mist rolls in.
