Connecting the Budds to a laptop or phone is a simple 3-step process. Turn the Bluetooth on your device on, set the Budds to pairing mode, then pair the two from your device. It’s simple enough that even the least technological minds can figure it out.
The sounds of the Budds is surprisingly good. I tested it with some Country, Jazz, Trance and Metal.
The bass tone is solid and driving. I was worried that the Budds might be a bit too bass heavy, but at no point was the bass overwhelming. While testing it with Trance the bass was solid and tight.
The sound isolation is remarkable. This is great because it means that you can listen to music at lower volumes and still hear the nuances of what you’re listening to. The Budds also feel great while wearing them. Once you fit the right size ear cups, you can easily forget that you’re wearing the Budds.
I also tested them while cycling. The controls are easy to use and didn’t distract me at all. To ensure my safety, I only cycled with one earpiece in. I surprised at how well the Budds stayed in. Even when bunnyhopping from the pavement the one earpiece stayed put. The sound was still pretty decent with just the one earpiece in.
