More About Chadleigh Gower

Chadleigh Gower, (also known as Mr.Afrika) has been playing the bass for most of his life. He first started learning the instrument when he was only 11-years old.

Like any musicians from Hanover Park, Chadleigh first started playing in his local church. Once he had established himself as a bass player he started to venue out and joined a few bands and groups.

His style of playing was a hit, and Chadleigh spent his formative years playing a variety of venues around the Western Cape.

Cort Bass Guitars

Since he started playing, Chadleigh has always been a fan of Cort bass guitars. In an interview published on Bizzcommunity.com, Chadleigh was asked what his most treasured possession is.

"My black Cort C5H. It’s my first bass guitar – I composed most of my tunes on that bass, even today still I just take it out if I feel inspired."
