The Anything Acoustic Contest finals were held on Thursday the 6th August. There was a full house with a great vibe & fabulous crowd, and the event was enjoyed by all.
The winner of the contest was Devin Harmer(pictured left), an artist with a phenomenal vocal ability, a unique sound and a performance which oozed fun & confidence. The use of his guitar case as a kick drum gave his performance a quirky edge which contributed to him winning the top spot. Chris Werge nabbed 2nd place and Bryce & Matt came in 3rd . The other finalists Kat Alice, Grace De La Hunt & Jonathan Grayson were all amazing.
The event was held at Spiro’s Restaurant on Main Road, Hout Bay. They were fantastic throughout the contest supplying guests with amazing Greek cuisine, a warm and cozy venue with great service. They also provided meal vouchers as a prize.
The main sponsor was Paul Bothner Music who sponsored a R5000 voucher to the winner. Rolling Audio will be providing Chris Werge with sound, lighting & an engineer for any event in Cape Town later in the year & Riverside Estate sponsored accommodation for 2 at their stunning guesthouse here in Hout Bay.
The judges were De Etheridge, an entertainment manager with years of experience in the industry, Grant Van Zyl, owner of Rolling Audio & Craig Reid, band manager of Just Jinjer & Monark.
