Do you want to become a percussionist, but aren’t sure where to start? Then this is the ideal workshop for you. Join Richard Ellis, and drummer and percussionist with 41-years under his belt, as he guides you through the basic principals of percussion.

More About Richard Ellis

Richard Ellis is a talented multi-percussionist based in Durban. He started playing the drums at the ripe age of 13 and discovered the broader range of percussion when he was 19.

Richard formed the Interitmo drummers with Mike Mazzoni in 1995, and started the first drum circle in Durban in1997 at the Bat centre. He also facilitated the Durban Drumbeat festival from 2000-2003. 

Richard Ellis has been playing professionally for 41 years with a host of local and international artists.
