A look at Modern, Percussive Fingerstyle Guitar with Ryno Theron

Are you a fan of the modern percussive style of acoustic guitar playing? Where a guitarist plays their guitar like a drum, a piano, and a guitar all rolled into one? Then join Ryno Theron for this FREE workshop.

Drawing inspiration from some of the greatest percussive style players on the scene, Ryno has developed a unique playing style. If you’ve ever felt like your solo playing feels a bit empty, learning to add some percussion into your songs is a great way to fill out the sound. Something most players don’t realise is that by tapping the guitar on different parts of the body, you can get a variety of drum-kit tones. As you explore the world of percussive playing more, you will soon be emulating a mini drumkit while still playing some great melodies.

Of course, there’s more to percussive playing than hitting your guitar. That is why Ryno will take you through the basics of alternate tuning, to ensure that you can reach your full creative potential.
