One of the artists presenting performances and Q&A sessions as part of our Reboot 2020 drive, Jason will be answering questions around his career and successes as one of South Africa’s most prolific and energetic drummers.
The session kicks off at 11 am at our new Bothners West Rand store.
About Jason Oosthuizen
JASON OOSTHUIZEN is a renowned South African drummer and musician largely known for being a member of locally celebrated bands, One Day Remains and Van Coke Kartel. He started playing drums in 1991 at the age of four, and since then has gone on to play in some of the best bands to come out of South Africa like Jack Parow, The Narrow and many more, in the form of session and live work.
Since 2017 he created 5 show-stopping tribute shows, 2 cover shows and a drummer/DJ Duo, taking to the stage with some of South Africa’s biggest local music legends to play shows across the country.
In July 2018, JASON launched his own signature snare drum range, entitled J.O Drums, the first of its kind in Africa where everything besides the skins on it, have been made from scratch in one place.
In September 2018, JASON decided to broaden his musical horizons to singer/songwriter position as frontman of OOOTH where he has written, recorded and produced most aspects of the project himself. Jason also expanded on the brand with Oooth Clothing, Oooth Coffee and soon to launch Oooth Wine.
