Top School of Rock Claremont Student Picked From Across the Globe to Play Top Cities This August.

School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education, is hitting the road this July/August. After a nationwide search for the top students from School of Rock’s more than 200 schools and more than 30,000 students, seven AllStars bands have been chosen to tour the country and play a full-band show at top music venues throughout the U.S. This year, School of Rock Claremont is proud to announce that BEN REID has been picked for the 2018 AllStars program. The tours kick off at the end of July and will hit top cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and more.

The AllStars music program is the pinnacle achievement for School of Rock students. The level of talent is incredibly high because the competition is stiff. Less than one percent of School of Rock students are accepted into the AllStars program. The selection process includes video submissions, followed by live auditions across the U.S. Once selected, the seven AllStar bands rehearse and prepare to play a ten-day tour across the United States culminating in a major festival/venue appearance at iconic centers of music such as Red Rocks Festival, Lollapalooza and more.

“The caliber of talent in these bands is awe-inspiring,” says Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “We created this program to give these students a real-life touring experience and a potential jump start to their career as performers. It’s a thrill for School of Rock to showcase these brilliant young artists and share their magic with others.”

“We are thrilled to have one of our students selected to participate in such a competitive and rewarding program,” says Leigh Spaun, Co-Owner and Marketing Director of School of Rock Claremont. “Ben Reid has shown incredible dedication and hard work to reach this point in his education. We can’t wait to see him bring his passion to some of the most iconic stages in the U.S and represent the talent that is in South Africa.”
