Introducing the Roland TD-50KV Electronic Drum Kit
As a professional drummer, you know that your gear matters. If you’ve done session work, you are familiar with how tough it can be to get the perfect tone.
And no, it isn’t always easy. This is especially true of acoustic drum kits. If you have a metal gig this week but a jazz gig next week, you would ideally need two different drum kits. You would need more kits and pieces of kits for every genre you play. But, building this library of kits is not only expensive but very limiting.
If you would like to check out the Roland TD-50K, you can head down to Paul Bothner Music in Claremont. There is only one the country, so don’t miss your opportunity!
The Roland TD-50KV
The TD-50KV is the newest flagship in the Roland stable of V-Drums. This is the most advanced and fully loaded drumkit that Roland has every produced.
Featuring Prismatic Sound Modeling and the option to use an acoustic kick drum, the Roland TD-50KV has everything the professional drummer could want.
The processor is perfectly complemented by the newly developed snare and ride pads. The pads feature multi-element sensors which allow for lag free, high-speed digital communication with the module. This will ensure that whatever you play sounds and feels responsive.
The kit also comes bundled with a top-of-the-line tom, hi-hat and crash pad.
You like having a few options right? Well, the Roland TD-50KV does not disappoint. When you buy this kit, you will have one of two options. You can buy the TD-50KV and get the stock V-Drums kick drum, or you can buy the TD-50KVX.
The KVX will allow you to use any acoustic kick drum with your TD-50 kit. This means that you can have a Hybrid playing style. The KD-A22 kick drum converter will fit onto any 22″ kick drum.
If you don’t want to use one fo your existing kick drums, the KVX will come bundled with a Mapex 22″ kick drum.
The Snare Drum
The TD-50 would not be the same without its PD-14DS snare pad. This snare pad brings a level of expression to electronic drumkits that no other snare on the market can match.
It has a brand new three-layer mesh system and a standardised 14″ shell. This provides a natural feeling rebound, which will allow you to play all of your standard snare techniques.
In addition, the snare boasts a multi-element sensor. This means that no matter where you hit the snare, your dynamics will be captured in the finest of detail.
This is the most powerful and expressive electronic drum kit on the market today. There is nothing that comes close to the TD-50KV. This is the ideal kit for any professional drummer or the drummer who needs the best of the best.
