Robin Auld, Albert Frost and Rob Nagel at Farhills Country Hotel

Robin AuldThree of SA’s most accomplished artists, will be performing at Far Hills Hotel & Conference Centre on Sunday 6 September for what is certainly a family affair!

Robin Auld, accomplished international singer-songwriter will be joined by renowned blues guitarist Albert Frost and the inimitable blues harp player Harpdog Bob Nagel.

Robin Auld and Albert Frost have a rich history of performing together. Albert says:

“I first saw Robin performing at the Brass Bell in Kalk Bay when I was 13 and still think he’s the best guitarist in South Africa. To top it all he is my brother-in-law so we have been playing music together here and there for about 15 years! Expect a guitar show featuring gems from our respective repertoires…”

The two will be joined by Harpdog Rob – Robin’s father-in-law and Albert’s stepfather – on harmonica. Albert and Rob have played together in the The Blues Broers for 21 years now.

Albert quips that he is probably the only musician who has played in a band with two fathers, as his late father, Frank D Frost, was the drummer for Blues Broers before passing away in 1999.

Barry Van Zyl on drums and bass guitarist Roger Bashew will be joining them to make up the rhythm section.

Music begins at 2. Tickets at R100 are available at Far Hills Country Hotel on 044 889 0120. Book early to avoid disappointment.
