One Stick One Spoon

Imagine how much food would there be if, for one stroke played on the drums, one tablespoon of food is administered to a child. There is hope that we can provide a non-arithmetical estimate of food for thousands of children in one day or hundreds of children for more than a week. Therefore, this Campaign is themed: ONE STICK ONE SPOON.

Vision

“As a Musician, an Independent drummer and Idealist, I have always been concerned about the role of music in our society today. Music has evolved. It is more influential including so much about the figures and voices behind it. I constantly ask myself ‘how can I be of help besides sitting on the drums somewhere behind an artist?’ There is no greater feeling than realising that there are lots of less privileged kids whom my influence as a musician can take care of, for a period of time no matter how small the effort.

This has prompted the invitation of a few other great drummer-friends of mine, to join me on this Campaign, using our talents and social influence to raise some money for the purpose of feeding less privileged kids in the festive period of December 2018”. – Shola David

Why

Without any doubt, December is a month to look forward to in every single year. It is the holiday period where everyone has their family around.
There is love, joy, playful atmosphere and most importantly, plenty of food. These are some good experiences orphans in barely well-organised foster homes this year would lack.
This is why One Stick One Spoon is set to meet the feeding aspect of these needs for the designated period of time.

Main Event

One Stick One Spoon is a campaign driven towards a massive music event centred on Drums. This campaign will have some of South Africa’s most famous and influential drummers come together to perform, entertain, and model the act of giving.

Raising Fund

100% of ticket sales from the show are remitted to the charity organisations or leaders in charge of the purchase of desired varieties of food.
