L.O.G Tribute Show at R.O.A.R

On Friday 2 October 2015 Local metal venue R.O.A.R saw the Wrath of multiple talented musicians coming together to perform the best jams from International Heavy metal band, Lamb of God, at the WRATH: LAMB OF GOD TRIBUTE show. The event kicked off at 8:30PM and already saw a filled out venue as the masses came through early to have a look at awesome talent on stage for the night. Members of various well respected metal acts such as Zombies ate my Girlfriend, All guns full ammo, Megalodon, Suiderbees, Animus Fall, Thread of Omen, Bulletscript, With Dawn, Atlantic South, Filth and Sabretooth, came together and collaborated on this ultimate heavy metal evening in tribute to the well known band.

The artists got split into two “supergroup” bands and the first group kicked off the evening at 10pm with the opening song being “Laid to rest”. The venue immediately came to life and the crowd went ballistic and saw the dance floor turn into a thumping head banging space. First group played all the popular lamb of god hits such as Walk with me in hell, Grace, Again we rise, Now you’ve got and redneck. The floor opened up into a moshpit as one song after the next brought through new energy and the fans went all out. Excellent change overs from the different talented vocalists ensured that each song and set was done to perfection with Blythe imitations down to the last note and the bass, guitars and drums not losing out on the perfection scale. The energy brought through from the musicians was on a high scale and the energy was kept up until the second group played the final song which brought things to a high end. All things said it was a brilliant evening, well executed, excellent musicianship skills showed off on stage and brilliant crowd interaction and action all evening bringing the night to an end on a very high note. The venue was filled out quite nicely with barely much room to move around much which is always a welcome site to any event organizer and venue owner. The heavy metal scene came alive this past Friday and it was brilliant way to kick off the weekend ahead!
