The musically gifted Odwa Bongo will be live at Café Roux, Cape Town, sharing his recent ‘Healing’ project with Cape Town.

Odwa Bongo returns to Café Roux after a number of successful shows of Impiliso around the mother city. However this time around, Bongo has been invited to present Impiliso at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Arts Festival in September 2018 and he would like to take his band from Cape Town. Presenting Impiliso at Café Roux, Odwa hopes to raise funds so that he can take his band to the UJ Arts Festival.

Impiliso will take place on Tuesday, 14 August 2018 at 7pm at Café Roux, 74 Shortmarket Street Cape Town City  Centre, 8000 and Odwa will be performing his heart warming and healing compositions. Also he will be honouring his music Icons; Simphiwe Dana, Mthwakazi & Zolani Mahola. The local rising star has had the privilege to share the stage with all the Icons mentioned above and that is a dream come true for him.

Bongo and his team have started a campaign called #FillUpCafeRouxCT with the aim of having one hundred audience members filling up Café Roux and raising funds for the band.

With the people’s support I believe we can go far and I will be able to take my band to the UJ Arts Festival, this is my dream and thank you those who have always supported my craft.” – Odwa Bongo
