Anything Goes Guitar Playoff Winners 2017

Despite it raining throughout the evening, the finals of the 2017 Anything Goes Guitar Playoff were Hot Hot Hot!
For the third year running we hosted the Bloemfontein “Anything Goes Guitar Playoff” to find and crown the best guitarists in the Bloemfontein area. Each year the competition gets a little tougher as more guitarists enter. This year saw some amazing talent take to the stage. Picking a winner is never an easy affair, but after some tough deliberation we chose the winners.

The under-18 category was hotly contested this year. Ultimately the winners were Donavan Bower (acoustic) and Jana De Waal (electric).
They each won:
One set of Ernie Ball guitar strings
R250 DV Village Music Voucher
Winners Certificate and bragging rights for a year!

Spurred on by the talent of the under-18 division, the competitors from the open division all brought their A-Game. Overall, it was an amazing showcase of talent. The open division winners are Emile van der Westhuizen (acoustic) and Francois Jacques van Schoor (electric).
